Crowne Plaza Harrogate by IHG

Everything! Excellent communication beforehand, thoughtful, friendly and efficient staff throughout our stay. Clean room with a large and very comfortable bed. The room was properly heated-unlike many hotels estates in this year. The choice at breakfast is vast and supplies replenished regularly. Scrambled eggs are in a smallish bowl-a brilliant idea, stops them congealing into rubber! Use of the car park long after our stay was over was a very useful feature. Other hotels could learn a lot from here.

Welcoming, friendly staff. The hotel was well appointed and the rooms a good size. On site facilities were very good too. Location great for exploring Harrogate and accessing public transport.

Hotel and reception staff very good. Room clean and comfortable.

Booked for dinner. Both myself and friend have allergens. Unfortunately the menu didn't indicate what we could eat and the restaurant staff were unable to advise either. We were told to choose something from the menu and then they would check with the chef. We were told we couldn't have either of our choices and to "choose something gluten free and dairy free"!!!! Eventually had a salad bowl. We also ordered a bottle of wine which we had to ask twice for and it eventually came 45 minutes later. All in all, not a good experience and not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel.
