Mars Garden Wood Gotenba

My adult son and I stayed in a superior room after we completed a 2 day Fuji summit climb. This is a modern Japanese style hotel, beautifully laid out inside and out. Accessible easily from station with taxi. Free shuttle bus to outlet mall just around the corner. The room was super spacious, luxuriously set out with comfortable beds, plush and ample towels bathrobes and PJs, quality toiletries, wonderful bathroom. The little kitchenette great for making teas and storing snacks. The onsen with 3 tubs and hot sauna, clean and spacious and Pola toiletries. The staff was very helpful with some English. I would love to stay for 2-3 days for wellness and relaxation.

As my son has tattoos which cannot be covered due to their location and size, he was not able to enjoy the onsen area.

Very nice hotel with fab staff, spacious rooms and we had a view of Mount Fuji.

The Mt Fuji view was exceptional! We were lucky we had perfect weather when we got up the next day, so we could see the full mountain view! We enjoyed their onsen every night and the day we were leaving 🤭. Facilities are clean and the environment is mind soothing. Both Western and Japanese style breakfasts were delicious and presented artistically. We cannot help taking pictures of them before consuming, LoL. The staff were super friendly and professional. The room was big compared to usual Tokyo hotel rooms. This was our second time being there. It's a good choice to be close to the shopping outlet and view Mt Fuji at the same time. It's quite close to the bus station if you're taking a bus there, only taking ~10 min's walk. However, it's not cool if you're carrying big luggage to walk from the bus station. Don't miss the fountain light shows every night, and the feeding fishes by the pond.

It was a superb hotel with nice onsen and beautiful grounds It is very near to Tomei Gotemba interchange which made transfers very easy The breakfast is first class The staff is very polite and welcoming Would stay again
