The hotel itself is Lovely, the staff is Superb!! And the location is terrific. It is directly across street from Underground in a very safe and friendly neighborhood.Bus stop is right outside your door. The hotel was very helpful in assisting in every way they could. I would return but the room was very disappointing.

My room was very clean but also very tired and worn. It was on the first floor right off the lobby facing the street. You must keep shades down at all times. People on Sidewalk can you and you them. The bed was immaculate but again well worn. I would return only if I were assured a different room which I was assured would be possible.

A wonderful stay from beginning to end. The location is exceptional, just steps from South Kensington station and within easy walking distance of the V&A, Chelsea and Knightsbridge. The hotel itself has so much character: warm, intimate and quintessentially English, with beautiful fabrics, rich colours and William Morris-style wallpapers that give it the feeling of an elegant private townhouse rather than a standard hotel. My room was lovely and I very much appreciated the upgrade. The staff were welcoming, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. Everything felt beautifully cared for, while still being relaxed and comfortable. I would happily stay here again.

Only a couple of very minor details. At breakfast, used plates were not always cleared promptly while I was still at the table — a small point, but something I would expect to be a little more attentive in a hotel of this standard. The matterass of the beautifully presented and wonderfully luxurious bed was a little too soft for my personal taste, as I am used to a very firm bed. These are very minor observations and did not detract from an otherwise excellent stay.

Location, location, location. Nice room and friendly, helpful staff.

Malheureusement, notre expérience ne mérite pas une bonne note pour un hôtel annoncé comme 5 étoiles. Notre chambre cosy au rez-de-chaussée - chambre 3 à bannir - était très sombre et impossible à aérer : l’odeur des fientes de pigeons était insupportable et les pigeons nous réveillaient dès 5h du matin. Le petit-déjeuner est décevant : buffet très réduit : omelette, charcuterie et fromage en supplément…. L’hygiène est également très limite : le serveur nettoie la table puis les chaises avec le même chiffon, et les miettes sont simplement poussées au sol. Une façon de faire franchement peu ragoûtante pour un établissement Dommage, car l’hôtel a du potentiel.
