Best customer service I’ve ever experienced. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Exceptional service from duty manager Shristi and also Sengi. At the South Indian restaurant we were given the most fantastic service from Shafi, Bala and especially Jay.

Absolutely — I would make Priya the emotional standout, giving her a fuller, more personal tribute without diminishing Taj Coromandel is a truly exceptional hotel, but what makes it extraordinary is the people who bring it to life. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth, friendliness and gracious hospitality. The hotel itself is beautiful, our Junior Suite was wonderful and the Taj Club was a lovely experience — but it was the people who made our stay truly memorable. Priya deserves a very special mention. From our very first interaction with her, she made us feel completely at ease and genuinely welcome. There was something particularly special about the way she looked after us. She was warm, attentive, incredibly accommodating and always seemed to be one step ahead of what we might need. Priya has that rare ability to make exceptional service feel completely natural. Nothing felt like an effort, and nothing was ever too much trouble. She listened, remembered the little details and went out of her way to make sure that our experience was exactly what we wanted. Her warmth never felt rehearsed or simply part of a job description — it felt sincere. What stood out most was the genuine care she showed. She didn’t simply attend to us; she made us feel looked after. There is a difference, and it is something we noticed and appreciated enormously. Priya’s kindness, patience and attention to detail made such an impression on us. She has an incredible way of making guests feel important without ever being intrusive. She was always approachable, always smiling and always willing to assist. Even the smallest interaction with her left us feeling that little bit more special. Priya is the kind of person guests remember long after they leave the hotel. She represents everything that wonderful hospitality should be — warmth, kindness, professionalism, attentiveness and genuine human connection. And she was certainly not alone.

I've stayed at this paticular hotel so many times before. The rooms used to be so cosy & comfortable. The new refurbishment has lost all that cosiness. The bath tub has been removed. No moisturiser kept in the toilets. The breakfast too is not what it used to be. Even the honey comb that was there is no more. They used to set up a foot/bath-soak in our rooms in the eve. That too was not available until the last night we were there my mum requested the housekeeping staff.
