Archibald At the Charles Bridge

The location was perfect. We had a room with a river view for the week we are there and that was an added delight. It was a quiet spot despite being steps from the action. And we loved Kampa Park just a few steps away. Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. Cleaning staff were thorough but always managed to clean the room while we were having breakfast. The breakfast offered tremendous variety and was reasonably tasty. We enjoyed it. On our next visit to Prague we will stay there again for sure.

Wonderful location near the Charles Bridge which was very quaint and very quiet. Our room was spacious. We enjoyed the breakfast and that a light lunch was also available.

Due to the age of the building our bathroom was up a step so we needed to be careful during the night. This can't be changed but it helps to know that the rooms have been designed to fit into the existing footprint of an old building.

The beds were comfortable. The second room we were moved into was pretty nice. And the location is good.

The walls and floors are made of paper, so it was super noisy. We were at first on the second floor and had a family above us. From 5:30am they were up and about and sounded like construction above us. The second night we were moved to 4th (top floor) and heard our neighbors alarm go off at 4;30am. The breakfast wasn’t great either. Just barely passable. Overly salted eggs, sausages and beans and ran out of plain yogurt after our first night, so was forced to eat the other gross items. The hotel is in need of an update especially our first room on the second floor and main area/lobby. How this hotel is this highly rated is a bit of a mystery to me. Expected much more. The shower was also so small, my husband who is 6’2” couldn’t stand straight up, but had to crouch to fit. It’s not bad, but faaaaaar from good or great.
