I stayed here for three nights and had a fantastic experience. The location is excellent, with multiple transport options to easily reach Venice’s main island. Luca made me feel so safe during my solo travel; it was like having a friend in Venice. I really enjoyed exchanging stories with him. The room is on the second floor, but don’t worry, Luca will help carry your luggage. He can also arrange taxis to the airport for you. What stood out most was the breakfast: it was always something to look forward to, with different dishes every single day over the three days. Luca also gave me lots of great travel tips and restaurant recommendations. He is an Italian guy who loves life and cooking, with great home taste and aesthetic sense. I highly recommend this warm and quiet place and would love to come back.

A delightful guesthouse in a surprising green oasis close to the centre of Mestre. The host was very friendly and available and provided many useful tips for visiting the area, as well as a great breakfast.

If you're looking for a place to stay near Venice that feels nothing like a hotel and everything like a home, Casa Lunia Guesthouse is exactly that. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and care that goes into this place was immediately obvious. Our room was comfortable and well-sized - noticeably more spacious than what you'd typically expect at this price point. Everything was clean and thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to settle in and feel at ease straight away. But let's talk about the breakfasts — because they deserve their own paragraph. Host Luca prepares what regulars lovingly call "la fantasia di Luca" — a fresh, generous spread that changes every morning and goes far beyond the tired continental breakfast you'd expect at a B&B. Fresh croissants, fruit, proteins, proper barista-made coffee and cappuccino - it's the kind of breakfast that makes you want to linger at the table and delay your plans for the day. Speaking of Luca — he is, quite simply, an exceptional host. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help, he packed us off each day with great tips for exploring Venice. He has a rare gift for making every guest feel like a personal friend rather than just another booking. In the evenings, we loved unwinding in the garden — a quiet, peaceful oasis where you can breathe after a busy day of sightseeing. It's the perfect spot to relax with a drink at the end of the day, and a real bonus that many guesthouses simply don't offer.

The only small suggestion we'd offer is the option to grab a good coffee a little earlier, before the breakfast time, for those early-morning starts.
