We always love staying here - it’s such a beautiful hotel in wonderful surroundings with the most helpful, charming staff. Breakfast and evening meals are also superb and the complimentary wine at the winery is a real treat. Thank you once again to everyone for making this another special experience for my husband’s birthday.

Beautiful, peaceful hotel with excellent, attentive service. Our room was lovely, with a great terrace and huge bathroom, and housekeeping was outstanding, both the morning service and evening turndown. The facilities were excellent too; we made lots of use of the tennis courts and pool. Breakfast was brilliant and the food throughout our stay was very good.

Very little. The Wi-Fi could have been a bit stronger and more reliable, but that is genuinely a minor point.

The hotel is incredible, the space in the room, the landscapes, the staff, the food, the ambiance. Just amazing! We had a lovely time and were able to disconnect fully! Spectacular hotel and environment.

Unfortunately our experiences was somewhat marred by witnessing blatant exceptions to the rules of conduct and safety that all guests are expected to follow. We found it very disappointing to see one particular guest smoking in forbidden areas and walking the dog around the "adults only" pool area (where it clearly stated it was forbidden), with the staff showing complete passivity. The most serious incident occurred when the dog, which was tied to a sun bed, pulled it forcefully towards the water when its owner jumped into the pool. My husband and I had to get up quickly to stop the sun bed from falling into the pool or hitting someone. What was most astonishing about the situation was this person's complete lack of courtesy (not even bothering to apologise or thank us for intervening). We understand family-owned properties may sometimes make exceptions for people close to the owners, but a resort of this calibre, manners, consideration for others and safety of paying guests who are charged a premium rate, should take precedence over any form of privilege. It is a real shame that such inconsiderate and repetitive behavious should detract from an otherwise magnificent place.

The place is remarkable and very well maintained.

Service would benefit from some training in terms of customer experience, courtesy and attention to details, notably pool staff and breakfast / catering staff. Discussions between kitchen staff and breakfast room staff in front of customers should be avoided. Kitchen staff to be better trained on attention to detail and customer experience. Wifi connection in the dependance building is very poor, which makes it hard to work.
