The location is absolutely amazing - it is very central, you are less than 100 m from Stradun and the main square of the old town of Dubrovnik. There are not too many stairs you need to climb in order to reach the apartment. The building, which is 300 years old, and the entire environment are very charming, but it can be noisy due to the proximity of the main street (Stradun). We enjoyed our stay very much, especially due to the proximity of everything. The street just around the corner, Prijeko, is full of restaurants. The host, Kate, is wonderful: very kind, attentive and very responsive! The apartment is clean, cozy and well equipped. There is an air conditioner in every room (although we didn't need it, as it was the end of September). Kate even arranged some water and milk in the fridge, and a bottle of walnut liquer as a welcome gift!
It can be noisy, also late at night (people checking in or out at 6:00 am or at midnight). However, this is understandable as the apartment is in an old, monumental building, with wooden floors, and has such an outstanding central location. Furthermore, we didn't like the fact that prior to checking in, the entire communication was with the agency that manages the property (direct-booker.com). They have only a local landline phone number (so not reachable via WhatsApp) and email, and sometimes reply only 1-2 days after you ask them something (and it is always a different person). Even after several requests, they didn't provide any mobile phone number that we could contact in case of emergencies or unforeseen events. However, upon we checked in, we received Kate's mobile phone number and communication from that point on was excellent.

We had a great stay. The host is is very nice and helpful. The apartment has history, is clean, well equipped with everything that was needed for a one week stay. The location is excellent, everything is in walking distance.
Through the floor/ceiling the neighbours were noisy (so were we from their perspective). Tourists outside were noisy, too. Even at late night. A good pair of earplugs is essential.

Great location. Tidy flat. Easy to deal with host.
Only 1 bathroom, second bedroom only reachable through the first. Though we did know this in advance.
