The Victoria Hotel & Source Spa

Lovely traditional hotel close to the centre of Sidmouth. Great service and lovely facilities. It has the feel of a well run hotel from the moment you walk through the main door - friendly staff, lovely facilities, spotless room, and excellent service. Also, the food is very good. We had a delicious lunch in the White Room.

Suites are not very well located from hotel and area outside not maintained. Also not well lit to and from hotel.

Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Comfortable room with sea view. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We liked the dining option in The White Room.

It was a bit difficult exiting the car park on our day of departure as there were two delivery vans in the way. It took us about 10 minutes to get out with the help of a staff member.

Excellent location, hotel benefits from a good outdoor pool space and indoor spa

We arrived 20 minutes early of the ‘official’ check in time (3pm). We were allowed to check in but told our room wasn’t ready, they didn’t check to see if it was ready, just immediately announced it wasn’t ready, and to come back 20 minutes later. We sat by reception and 20 min, they took no phone call and no staff came to reception. 20 minutes later I went back to the desk and asked if we could have our room, the guy looked at his watch, said it was now time, took the key from a pigeon hole as said it was okay now. Seems very petty not to give the key 20 mins early.
