Hotel Atmospheres

Location. Also, staff helped with a complicated taxi request that we really appreciated.

Well-situated in the Latin Quarter, 10 minutes from a Metro station and right across the street from the #86 bus. Most rooms face an interior courtyard and are completely quiet. There are 3 separate elevators to the 3 sections of the hotel, so you can access your room in a matter of minutes. No long hallways. Excellent housekeeping. My room was immaculate. Honor bar in the lobby was a convenient feature, although I only used it to get a glass of ice each night. There are many restaurants within steps of the hotel, and a pharmacy and “bricolage” (hardware & miscellaneous household goods) on the corner. Finally, this hotel is very safe for any single traveler. The lobby is small and you walk right past the front desk clerk upon entering.

A minor complaint, but the toilet room is separate from the tiny bathroom, and has a heavy door that will not stay open. I was alone in my room and did not like having to be in an enclosed space. Also, the in-room safe was on a low shelf in the closet and had the be locked by swiping any magnetic strip across it. I couldn’t see well enough to get the mechanism to work and wish the hotel would just put the typical 4-digit code safes in.

Location was outstanding, staff all excellent and ready to answer any questions and assist with our needs. They were to a person excellent. I would highly recommend them all.

The breakfast was disappointing, it would be nice if you could add espresso to the menu. Staff in the breakfast areas were helpful, accommodating and excellent.
