Vila Maria was the best! Maria herself is a force of nature and so warm and inviting that every guest feels like Maria is part of his/her family. She serves with love and complete attention, a breakfast that is amazingly varied and delicious. She is all too happy to help with any problem or request you may have. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. The location was great and parking right there on the premises. In short, this is THE place you want to stay in Castelo de Vide.
There was nothing to complain about. I will mention that the rooms in the main house require 1 flight of stairs, whereas the rooms in the adjacent guest section do not. We were 2 couples in our 70's and we managed with the stairs.
