Very beautiful location with excellent private Onsen. Staff were lovely and food was amazing.

The rooms are specious, the beds are incredibly comfy and everything was very clean. You are well looked after by the lovely staff from the moment you arrive. The private onsen was particularly special, as were the traditional meals. I cannot recommend this ryokan enough.

Everything was perfect. The WiFi was a little slow but who cares when you are there to relax and enjoy the experience.

Our stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. Despite some cosmetic renovations, it is immediately apparent that this is a very old property that still feels like something from the 1970s. The refurbishment seems to have been carried out on a minimal budget, and the cost-cutting is noticeable almost everywhere. The hotel lacks the quality, attention to detail, and professionalism one would expect at this price point. Our room was spacious, but many elements of the interior and facilities were outdated. The view from the windows was unremarkable. One of the biggest problems was the constant noise, both from the nearby road and from the pumps serving the onsen facilities. This significantly affected our ability to relax. Overall, the property feels like an old hotel that has been superficially refreshed without addressing its fundamental shortcomings. It lacks warmth, genuine care for guests, and the special sense of Japanese hospitality that makes staying at a traditional ryokan such a memorable experience. In my opinion, the hotel offers poor value for money. I would much rather spend an additional €100–200 and stay somewhere of a completely different standard than return to this property.

To be fair, both dinner and breakfast were quite good. I would also like to give special thanks to our waitress from Myanmar, who was genuinely kind, friendly, and clearly did her very best to make our stay pleasant. We have absolutely no complaints about her service. Unfortunately, that is where the positive impressions end.
