Cleanliness, space, amenities (washer/dryer), kitchenette, lovely shower and bath.
Nothing. It was perfect in every way.

The location was brilliant. Restaurants, shopping and rail literally on the doorstep. Simple but lovely (largely western style) buffet breakfast set us up well for busy sightseeing days.
I’d been warned Tokyo hotel rooms were small but wasn’t prepared for this small. No space to fully open our suitcases!

The location is great if you want to be near the shopping and easy to access transport stations near Shinjuku.
Compared to the other Tokyu Stay Shinjuku East, I prefer the other. This property was older and you had to go outside to access the breakfast which was hosted in an adjacent restaurant. At that restaurant the food was cold as they often kept the door open for some reason. In the winter this didn't make much sense. It was freezing.
