9h nine hours Nagoya station

Beautiful minimalist design, friendly and helpful staff, and a great location near Nagoya Station. The rooftop is a nice touch, and having Glitch Coffee downstairs is a real bonus, with outstanding coffee and equally lovely staff. The shower's special settings were a pleasant surprise, and I really liked the unusual, comfortable pillows.

Unfortunately, sleep quality was disappointing. The mattresses are extremely thin, the plastic capsules amplify every bump and movement, and the heavy sliding doors are noisy. I was even woken up around 2 a.m. by staff cleaning and restocking the restrooms. More concerningly, I discovered significant mould underneath my mattress (capsule 907). Hopefully this was an isolated issue, but it definitely needs attention. The property is generally clean and regularly maintained, but some areas are showing their age, particularly the shower seals, which also have mould. Finally, having lockers and showers on a separate floor makes moving around unnecessarily inconvenient, without really solving the noise problem.

CAPSULE: The size of the “pod” was just right for me. Similar to the nine hours at Narita Airport where I previously stayed, the pod had a socket, a light with a dimmer. MATTRESS: Other people may find the mattress to be quite firm but it was okay for me. The pod comes with one pillow and a comforter. FACILITIES: There were enough shower cubicles. The shower cubicles are spacious enough for taking a shower and for getting dressed. The bath shower gel and shampoo both smell really nice. There are enough toilets. There is also a spacious area for drying your hair, etc. AMENITIES: Guests are provided sleepwear and disposable slippers. The locker is big enough to store things for an overnight stay. I’m not sure if big luggage would fit in the lockers though. STAFF: The staff are friendly. They explained things really well. LOCATION: It’s near shopping areas. There’s a 7-11 and a Lawson nearby. Nagoya Station is also nearby. PRICE: For the price I paid it was good value for money. JUST A NOTE: It's a capsule hotel so there is usually someone who always snores really loud. Earplugs are provided but if that doesn't work for you, bring whatever works for you.

It was the first capsule hotel I had visited that was clean. I'm really allergic to dust, and I haven't had any problems with it. Additionally, they offer amenities such as pyjamas and slippers. All toiletries are included in the shower as well.

I liked that the property prioritized cleanliness and always had a fresh bag of loungewear, towels, and slippers ready, in our pods, everyday. The Cafe was also nice and convenient.
