LUCUS Exclusive Bed and Breakfast

Great location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the garden. Having breakfast in the garden was a perfect way to start the day.

Lucus is a small B and B in an old palazzo in the historic centre of Lucca. Our visit was purposeful - to enjoy the Puccini Festival 20 minutes away in Torre del Lago. Breakfast outside overlooking the garden is special, intimate and delicious. And the staff are very friendly and helpful - solving our parking access in the historic centre and recovering a lost pair of glasses after our departure.

Lucus is an absolute gem , rooms are huge and airy with modern furniture tastefully placed in a sympathetically decorated room keeping some old traditional quirks. The icon works well and is quiet, bathroom is modern and spacious. The room also has a kettle , hairdryer and a safe. We had the room next to reception but there was not a sound ! Breakfast is served in the garden courtyard, the most beautiful setting. Great selection of fresh produce and staff will make eggs to order. The garden and loungers are also available to guests, a small bar service available from 3 till 10 although we didn’t use this. The property is in a quiet safe location, a short walk to shops and restaurants of which there are many! Do not hesitate to book your trip here.

There is nothing not to like!

Staff were approachable, friendly and helpful. Location was good. Serena arranged a private driver to take us to the airport when we checked out and this was easy to arrange, good communication and the driver was also very friendly and made the journey back to the airport easy.

Radiator was broken in the room and was leaking. The towel rail was also broken in the bathroom which made the room overall very cold and towels often didn’t dry thoroughly. Staff were aware but unfortunately this was not fixed during our stay. Our room door handle was also faulty which often meant we had to slam the door shut to close it which isn’t ideal as we were conscious of the noise for other guests.
