The hotel itself was beautiful and the location was great. We actually had an amazing view of the sea, even though we hadn’t booked a sea-view room, which was a lovely surprise. I was a little surprised when we arrived and were told that our room was actually in a separate building next door. The building itself was still pretty, but the room didn’t quite look like the rooms shown in the photos when we booked. Being in a separate building also meant we didn’t have the same reassurance of having a 24-hour reception in the building, which I would have preferred.

I really didn’t like the daily battle for sun loungers. Even early in the morning, most of them were already “reserved” with towels, despite not a single person being in sight. There were days when we couldn’t find a lounger at all and ended up having to pay extra for loungers on the beach. Some loungers were reserved for entire groups all day, with the people themselves sometimes not turning up until late afternoon. What made this particularly frustrating is that reserving loungers is actually against the hotel’s own rules, but this was never enforced and the staff simply watched it happen. It genuinely affected our stay, as every morning there was this unnecessary stress of wondering whether we’d actually be able to find a space by the pool - something we, just like every other guest, had paid to use. The food was okay but I would have liked some more variety and more meat options - most meat was pork which I cannot eat even the lasagne and bolognese which could have been beef.

The staff were outstanding and went out of their way to take care of us. We arrived late and they had organised a late dinner for us and solved an issue we had with the beds. Value for money with location would be hard to beat.

I have 3 suggestions. The beds were really hard ( they solved this by putting an extra mattress on them for us) it’s time to upgrade them. The rooms need a little fridge and a designated room to shower for guests who are leaving later in the day after check out and want to enjoy the beach or pool before leaving.

Convenient location and nice lobby/reception area. Cleaning staff did a great job. Decently sized room.

The photos in the listing are from the main building, which seems renovated. We were given a room in the secondary building across the street which seems very dated. There was no fan in the bathrooms either, and the result was the presence of a bit of mould. The room itself was large enough, but a small fridge/kettle would have been useful. WiFi seemed to be free during our stay, contrary to the daily fee described in the listing. It however almost never worked. Breakfast had a decent variety, but the quality wasn't always amazing (old/bad tomatoes, ham and bacon had an interesting and unusual texture).
