The guesthouse was a perfect base to explore the Nakasendo trail. The house is large and lovingly restored. There is a supermarket nearby that had everything we needed for our two night stay. Assi was a wonderful host who greeted us on arrival and even drove us to the trail head in Magome. Highly recommended this stay!

This may be the greatest home we have ever stayed in. The home itself is historical but so functional and beautiful. It made all of our Japanese dreams come true. The futons are extremely thick and comfortable and sleeping with the windows open listening to the crickets was incredible. Can’t recommend it enough.

Amazing house. Antique, well-maintained, very big, and very comfortable. In short, our stay there was one of the best stays we have ever experienced. The host was so helpful and welcoming. We ended up taking hundreds of photos of the house. Oh, and a great vinyl collection as well..
We only stayed for one night. Should've stayed longer.
