Pleasant Moose Lodge

Proximity to our adventures, breakfast was just ok.... I thought the beds were comfortable, fridge worked,

The guy checking us in spoke really fast, high pitched and not very understandable. Water in sink in our room was BARELY a small stream, when the shower was running it whistled the whole time. DAILY free donuts were old, stale plain... they offer free donuts all day every day.... NO ELEVATOR... we were on the second floor, 4 ladies in our 60's, with luggage, coolers and other gear. VERY small breakfast area, probably wouldn't stay there again without an elevator. Bad knees and hip plus other ailments with the other ladies in my group. I guess if your going and have kids that want to play like those across the hall from us it would be ok and in budget.... didn't appreciate getting woken up before 7:30 am with children running up and down the hall yelling.

The breakfast had lots of options, it was very good. The room was nice and comfortable. the service was very good.

The breakfast was fantastic. Restaurant quality. Quite the spread.

The shower really needs to be updated. It took about 15 mins to get the water hot. The bed springs crinkled when you would turn over when sleeping. The mattress was pretty hard.

The location was great - right down the road from MDOC Newberry Prison, which was the point of my trip. The service was excellent, super kind staff. The bed was comfortable and clean, but I couldn't help but look for bugs, etc just because the room was really run down. No bugs to report.

My concerns were about the room itself, it wasn't dirty but the deadbolt wouldn't lock and it could use an update in decor. The carpet is atrocious and the chair in the room had a white spot on it that looked questionable. It was spacious and comfortable enough either way.
