Excellent location, fantastic spacious apartment and great facilities

No lift so quite difficult to get bags up so many stairs- would have been good to know in advance!

The property was generally well presented, clean and in an excellent location. While we didn’t use it due to the weather, the property was well fitted for winter, with underfloor heating in the bathroom and a heated mirror.

The fridge was unusable for almost the entire stay (milk and food was spoilt after one night, despite the fridge being on the coldest setting) which meant we could not safely store fresh food or use the kitchen as intended. (Photo of fridge interior shows melted ice from freezer which leaked down to the fridge). A replacement mini fridge was only provided on our final night. Management offered to reimburse spoiled groceries but would not consider a partial refund for the loss of use of the fridge which significantly limited our ability to cook in the apartment as planned. There was a strong kebab smell from downstairs that permeated our clothes and bags, requiring everything to be washed and aired out after we returned home. The A/C exhaust hose was damaged and had been poorly secured to the unit with tape, it fell off overnight, leaving the area around the unit extremely hot and raising fire safety concerns. We had to resolve this ourselves by going to Tesco, purchasing more duct tape, and resecuring the hose to the unit (see photos). The shower also had poor water pressure, although it was usable.
