We enjoyed our time at the beach. The house was nice and had everything we needed. The air fryer was a big bonus! We were expecting to have to bring our own sheets and towels since the listing stated that but were happily surprised when we found out a week prior to our trip that they were now included. When we got there the linens were not marked well and one of our guests did not have sheets that fit the bed for the first two nights but that was fixed Monday. The information we got emailed had the wrong address listed, thankfully my husband caught that and it was addressed before we arrived. VROB listing says it recommended 4 wheel drive, the email we received the day prior stated you NEED 4 wheel drive, this was frustrating and caused worry for the drive down because 2 of the 3 vehicles we were taking as a group did not have 4 wheel drive. The listing should be clearly marked as NEEDS 4 wheel drive and noted at the top of listing not at the very bottom ( we had originally missed the "recommended " note when we booked). The vehicles that did not have 4 wheel drive had to stay at the very end of the drive and be pushed out every time we needed to go a where, this worked but was not convenient. Another thing to note is that there are extremely large sand bags at this part of the island, this didn't interfere with our trip its just not what I was expecting or have experienced when on the island years prior (but we gave never stayed this far to the tip of the island either.)

Not much beach at high tide. Not a problem for us, but making it known. Rip currents also dangerous. Ocean swimming was strongly discouraged. Rental was great. No complaints.

We had girls trip over the weekend. This was our 2nd time staying here. Check in was a breeze. House is beautiful, views are amazing. Walk right outside to the water. You do have sandbags right in front of house but expected when you have a house right on the beach- we were able to walk around them to go into beach. Plenty of room for all our chairs in front of the sandbags. Driveway is very sandy- only 1 of us had 4x4, the other 2 parked at end of driveway. Had to dig sand away from tires to get out but it wasn’t too bad. Overall an amazing trip and plan on coming back next year!

The communication? We got two addresses on the same emailed sheet. The information on that sheet was often at odds with what was on the frig. When does trash get picked up? Weren’t sure. It was overflowing when we arrived and wasn’t picked up until Monday. The good. On the beach (beach is actually slowly taking over the the house)! It was clean. Everything functioned well. Upon entering the front door, you walk into an entryway/stairwell. The stairs take you to the another “front door” at the bottom floor. However, at the bottom of the stair is another door that leads to underneath the house where everyone washes off the sand. There are no pictures of any of this space. Does it work? Yes. Is it pretty. Definitely not. Under the house, you are enclosed by all the X bracing of the pilings. These are all 2x12s. As adults, these are NOT easy to maneuver on your way to and from the beach. Back to the entryway. The space is enclosed, hot and the tiled stairway becomes full of sand. First floor. As described. Three small bedrooms. Two facing the ocean. On the second floor is the living area & kitchen. It is sufficient. Best word I can think of to describe the house. We found there were so many things missing. Knife sharpener? Nope. Cheese grater, no. The house sleeps 10, The table seats six. Small things. But Annoying. 3rd floor. Nice but warm. Thermostats would not go below 67. On the 3rd floor? Gets warm. All in all, it was sufficient.
