Beautiful hotel in a traditional building right in the old town. Recently restored inside, the fit out and standard of the rooms is excellent. Breakfast is good, beautifully managed by Brian, with a nice selection - it can get a but busy at certain times and there are bottlenecks but on the whole a nice start to the day. Location is great, and although you can't take a car right to the door, parking is a short walk away. We joked that everything we wanted was only 8 mins walk away. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Generally very quiet.

Tiny things would make this a better stay. Water in the rooms on the first night was never replenished in an 8 night stay. Requests for minor maintenance issue were not actioned, and we even needed to ask for loo roll as only one roll was left in the room. Adds up to a feeling which is not generous when I'm sure that's the opposite of what they want.

Beautiful hotel. The service was exceptional. Lucia and Bea (the two receptionists) were fabulous. They couldn’t do enough to help us with whatever query we had. They are an asset to the hotel. It was very clean and the level of attention to details was surprising. I would thoroughly recommend staying in Áurea!

A little bit of a faff if driving there as you cannot park in front of the hotel. You have to drop off the luggage on the street corner and go park at a public car park nearby. But to be fair, it is the middle of the Old Town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, check in was incredibly easy and the room was immaculate. Location was great, close to mini supermarkets and restaurants and a good distance for La Caleta beach and the old town - would 100% stay here again!
