The location of Hospederia Tarela is ideal. It is in the historic district of Santiago, very near to the cathedral: a perfect place to end our Camino journey. The room feel historic itself with stone walls and on the corner of a small plaza. Under our room was a cafe bar which made for a lively vibe until late in the evening. The room was very clean and cozy.
If you want to go to bed early and need quiet, this place may not be for you. However, the glass doors help keep out most of the noise.

Fantastic location, great cafe/bar with an excellent staff, comfortable room.
City centre so a bit of noise from the streets.

Single beds were narrow but very comfortable. Noise from the street below is loud in the 2:00-4:00 a.m. time period but that's Spain! What would I have done if I hadn't been able to arrive at 3:30 pm check in?
Better instructions regarding checking in... what to do if you can't be there at 3:30 pm.

Not very clean
Noisy on Friday night up to 4am. Then noisy garbage trucks from 5am.
Broken shelf and missing light bulb in bedroom.
Disappointed with Booking.Com and with accommodation.

"Magnifique hébergement, à quelques pas de la Cathédrale. Le Check-in électronique est pour ma part toujours un peu irritant, mais la dame du resto/bar sous le logement était d’une gentillesse incroyab..."
