Our stay at the “L’Accolta” holiday farm was definitely the highlight of our vacation in Umbria. Although it’s located just a few hundred meters from the center of Tuoro, the setting is idyllic and incredibly peaceful, surrounded by greenery. There are only two guest units, so you immediately feel at home, thanks in part to the thoughtfulness and kindness of Mr. Massimo, who, by the way, is an excellent cook. The two-room apartment, located on the ground floor, has a rustic feel, with walls partly made of exposed stone. It isn’t very brightly lit but features functional, sturdy furniture and modern amenities. The bathroom is quite spacious with a functional walk-in shower. The kitchen is well-equipped with a microwave and a kettle, both of which are very convenient. Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. The cleanliness was absolutely spotless—even though it’s in a rural setting, we didn’t find so much as a spiderweb or a speck of dust. All the windows are fitted with mosquito screens in perfect condition. There’s a covered table out front where you can eat, and out back (shadier in summer) another table with a beach umbrella and lounge chairs. Although not included we highly recommend the breakfast, served right at the table outside the house. It’s plentiful and varied, featuring local products and a different surprise every day to delight the palate—prepared and served by Mr. Massimo, who is also a wealth of information for exploring the surrounding area . On certain days of the week, you can also enjoy a delicious dinner in the pavilion next to the property. In the morning, it’s always fun to visit the farm animals (farm which also serves an educational purpose): donkeys (who love carrots), goats, sheep, geese, and chickens—and, a bit further away, Priscilla, the farm’s mascot sow. the best way to start the day in a good mood. In short: a somewhat hidden gem to discover and enjoy.

No complaints—everything was perfect. Just a small suggestion: a sign at the fork in the road for when the GPS starts causing problems.

Francesca is erg aardig en behulpzaam. Zij communiceert ook uitstekend. Het appartement is een aangename mix tussen traditie en huidige faciliteiten.
