The Edenton Collection-Captain's Quarters Inn

This bed and breakfast is a wonderfully beautiful property preserving the grandeur of the past. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious. We look forward to staying here again.

The best amenity was the sound machine as the walls were quite thin! Of course we just laughed at the sounds/ noises from behind the wall of the Navigator room! You just have to have sense of humor in life!! There were several slamming doors throughout the night in the hallway making it seem like your room was being opened.The staff, breakfast were great. We really needed new towels if staying 2 days but all in all lovely atmosphere, the pergolas were a nice relaxing point same as the stunning Capt’s Quarters porch.Loved it❤️Would definitly stay again. Loved the sweet charming southern accents. The decor absolutely stunning and comfortable.

We had a good stay but this is not “luxury.” Stayed in the Mariner room. Our room was small but cozy. Very comfortable sleep. White noise machine in the room helped. Unable to control room temperature but we were comfortable, none the less. Bathroom is tiny. One person only and nowhere to really put a dopp kit or toiletry bag. They made the best out of a small space. Definitely needed some upkeep in the bathroom. For an elevated r patience, just feel like porches should have been swept and seating fluffed and set up daily. Also, like others mentioned, unless you stay in the main house, there is no access to coffee, tea, waters or other amenities after 10 pm. Breakfast seems to be eggs only as a main course. Unfortunate if you can’t eat or don’t like eggs. They do serve meat options and fruit. Would be nice to be able to get pancakes or waffles. We spent time in the main house in the evenings but would have been great to have some music playing to help with the extreme quiet. It just didn’t feel welcoming, although the home is beautiful and there are speakers in the ceiling. The people are exceptional but they may need more staff. On arrival, there is no one to welcome you. You have to call and it seems rushed. All in all, not a bad stay, but we would not be compelled to return.

What an amazing B&B. It was so charming and my husband and I enjoyed every minute there. The complementary breakfast was delicious. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on clouds. The bathroom was so beautiful from the soaking tub to the chandelier to the fireplace. What a romantic weekend. We will definitely come back.
