The cabin was located about a 15 mins or so walk outside of the La Fortuna centre. The accommodation was equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. It was very clean, quiet and had good facilities. To the front was a garden with mature trees and bushes and Cristian (the host) would provide food to the bird table to attract a wide range of birds. Everyday we saw hummingbirds and occasionally small mammals, lizards and frogs. Cristian also called to show us Toucans and a falcon in nearby trees. Cristian was a great host and communicated well before and during our stay.

Well looked after by Christian who really cared about your stay. Excellent recommendations on what to do in the area, feeding the birds and helping us spot the toucans.

Lovely, comfortable cabin surrounded by plants and birds. Cristian is an amazing host - so proactive and helpful. We were on foot and the walk into town is about 15 minute flat walk. We loved being somewhere private and peaceful. Thank you Cristian for being such a great host!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing experience.
The house itself is a beautiful wooden home, located in a secure and peaceful gated community. It perfectly combines comfort with a natural, authentic atmosphere, making it feel like a true getaway while still offering everything you need for a comfortable stay.
One of the most special touches was the daily routine of placing fresh bananas in the garden to attract wildlife. This created such a magical environment right outside our door. We were able to observe a variety of birds up close, and the absolute highlight were the hummingbirds – watching them every day was truly unforgettable and added something very special to our stay.
Chris was an excellent host throughout our visit. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. Whenever we had questions or needed anything, he was quick to help and always approachable. His hospitality really made a difference and contributed a lot to the overall positive experience.
All in all, this place offers something truly special – a combination of comfort, nature, and warm hospitality. We would definitely come back again.
There was nothing bad.
