Hotel Villa Edis

I highly recommend this place. And Yes there are stairs. The whole city of Berat is built on a mountain/hillside. and the view from the Villa Edis is stunning! Adela is an excellent host. She offered to carry my suitcase to where the Villa is located as currently the road is under construction so you can park downstairs . Also when I arrived I was offered water and even coffee (which was amazing). The room is so clean and the view is breathtaking. I also love that there is a kettle in the room if you want to make tea and enjoy the view. Breakfast is also amazing fresh homemade pancakes, white cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggs, juice, fruit and coffee. Adela is very hospitable and I would definitely recommend her place and would visit again for sure.

Amazing 😻 view. We had a room with large windows looking across the river and to the sunset. On the hill below the castle. The warmest shower in all of Albania 🇦🇱 The staff was lovely! Super close to walk to castle (uphill) bridge and promenade.

A bit of challenge with road construction currently which made you walk up a staircase with luggage. It appeared to be a short term issue only during our visit

I stayed here for two night and I am very happy with my stay. The host is a lovely lady who speaks Albanian and German but we managed to communicate without any problems. Breakfast was delicious. Room was comfy and clean. There's a secret shortcut to castle through the back door of the hotel. The only part that you should be aware that there are some stairs for you to reach the hotel, you can see the photos I uploaded. There's a free parking thay you can use on the street or near the shore. Avoid cafes from there as they try to extort money for parking. Just say you're from the hotel. If you don't mind the steps it's best place you can stay in Berat.
