Mulberry Tree

This is a great hotel, that was a perfect location for Attleborough and all the shops. It needs a bit of tlc, and I don't think it was good value. The bed was really comfy and I slept well. The selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits is probably the best I have ever seen. Cold milk in a little fridge, and water were all great !

The room was cold. I don't mind that when going to bed, but had to keep my jacket on until that point. I tried to change the thermostat on the radiator, but that had no effect. I could not find the control for the towel holder in the bathroom to give some local heat. I could not find the isolator switch for the bathroom extractor fan. So I had to listen to that all night. It wasn't intrusive, but slightly annoying. I like to leave a light on ( bathroom in this case ), in case of emergencies. I noticed when I woke up there was a hole in the ceiling where a light fitting sort of fitted. When I woke in the morning, the radiator was red hot.

Very comfortable.

The first room smelt of smoke as someone had smoked there illegally. Landlady was brilliant and apologetic and moved me to next room:

Lovely property a bit of a strange area but relatively easy to get around by car A short walk to the town with some coffee shops which was nice Dinner was great service First gin was served beautifully but the second was in a short stubby not clean glass which was a shame Breakfast was beautiful a private experience an nothing was too much trouble

The rooms were really cold Windows drafty glass panelling behind windows wasn’t great as the wind still came through There was a heater in the room so assume this was to avoid the window issue as my sister stayed in a alternative room without a heater and no window issue Staff weren’t happy we had a child with us although this was preagreed with the hotel, felt like children were not welcome at all, even when it was daytime stares were given so we couldn’t sit in the bar if we could we would’ve had more drinks and spent more at the property instead we went to another business for wine and nibbles We ate dinner together no which was nice service was great in the evening really lovely and helpful server Inconsistency with drinks and serving and service in general Bathrooms downstairs weren’t clean and freezing cold
