The staff checked all of our passports at check in but had to go through this self serve kiosk which was a pain coz it won’t recognize our names. I don’t know what is the use of the front staff then. The rooms are really small & we end up bumping into each other. We had to bring our trash cans out so they will empty it.

This was the first hotel we stayed in and it did not start off well since the staff speak little English and they use these self check in computers. It took us a little while to figure it all out. The rooms are very small but the location is excellent. It is across from ueno park, where you have museums and a zoo. The trains were very close and there were plenty of restaurant options. I would consider staying here again.

Amazing hotel for it's location and amenities and everything. Not a single complaint. And now I will always stay here when in Tokyo because Ueno has very few tourists and so prices on everything is cheaper. And I've always been a fan of the APA product; small but everything you need and more.
