The only minor criticism I have is that breakfast wasn't served until 7.30am which I think is quite late. Also you have to order breakfast from the bar rather than table service. Otherwise, nice hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast had good options, room was clean and cozy. The beer garden and surroundings were enjoyable.and the area felt.safe while being central enough.

Great location for exploring Durham. Lovely pub - evening meal excellent. Full English breakfast was very small (1 spoon of beans, 1 sausage etc - and ask in advance for your bacon not to be overcooked, as my one small piece was like shoe leather). Staff friendly but sticklers for the after 3 pm only rule for signing in. Despite those minor quibbles it's a great stay. Comfy beds, clean rooms and within walking distance for everything.

Lovely hotel, ideally located for Durham centre & train station. Staff were helpful & welcoming. Room has been recently refurbished & everything was nice, clean & tidy.
We ate in the hotel one night - it was nice but could have been a bit hotter. We went to Veera’s (Indian) the following night which was lovely & a 10 min walk away.
Parked at hotel easily & breakfast included- very nice.
