I spent my first two nights in Curaçao at a different, slightly-more-expensive and similarly located hotel. Based on that experience, I had fairly low expectations of San Marco.
However, I was blown away! The building is a beautiful historic building. The room was clean and well maintained. Moreover, it was well-suited for travelers, with lots of shelves and hangers. The bed was comfortable. The front desk was incredibly helpful and attentive, recommending restaurants and tours. My hot water didn’t work on the first night, but it was fixed by the time I returned from a tour the next day. The room was quiet, except for Thursday night - the night of Punda Vibe, a weekly street party, and I doubt any hotel in the area is quiet then!
I would definitely stay here again if I return to Curaçao!
