Yorkway Motel

A lovely friendly welcome from Michael at reception. All the staff were great. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The fan was a definite bonus in the hot weather although the room stayed fairly shaded too. There was some traffic noise but it didn't disrupt my sleep at all (room 16). The cooked breakfast was tasty and piping hot and and you could alter any items you wanted; really set you up for the day ahead. I found walking along the busy road, to the bus stop, with no pavement a bit tricky so better if you can drive here (each room has its own parking place.) Loved my stay here

Parking was good, right outside our room. Staff were very friendly and nice. There was a good choice for breakfast of cooked and cereal. The room was clean, did notice a couple of spiders, one small one in the bath which was easily washed down the bath and one above the wardrobe storage, which didn't cause any problems. The light in the mirror one side had dimmed. Very central to York 1/2 and hour and 1 hour from Bridlington. There is a manned bar, but on Wednesday night it wasn't open which was a disappointment. They only serve breakfast now, and the sign on the motel says that it has a restaurant which is incorrect. Based based right on a main road, traffic can only be heard first thing in the morning.

Great parking, fast check-in with very friendly, helpful knowledgeable staff. The breakfast menu is superb with fast efficient service. The rooms are clean, and the bed is super comfy and serviced daily and has tea/ coffee making facilities and biscuits. The bathroom has a large shower with soap and shower gel supplied. We look forward to our next visit.

Amazing motel with good size clean rooms, ample free parking, excellent staff and the best English breakfast I’ve had at a hotel for years.
