Booked Wren cottage to take my dogs out of London during Guy Fawkes' fireworks. Loved the cottage from the moment I saw it, very spacious, clean, comfortable bed ( only used one of the rooms). Anything you might need to cook a meal is in the kitchen. Amazing lounge with a very big fireplace. I had a call from the owners before my trip to welcome me at their cottage, also welcome treats and towels for the dogs. I didn't visit the restaurants in the village but I had several walks in the Forest of Dean with the dogs, just 15minutes drive from the cottage. Bathurst park is also in a walking distance from the cottage and it is also a lovely place to take the dogs. The cottage has a folder made by the owners with all the information and local amenities to make your stay perfect. Owners live next to the cottage, I was so grateful for the milk, coffee and biscuits after the long driveI had a lovely and relaxing time and highly recomend the cottage.

Absolutely lovely, quirky, and above all cosy cottage. Quite location, but within easy reach of shops and cafes, and only a short drive into the heart of the Forest. Has everything you need and more. Already planning our next visit
