Only a 15 minute drive to world-famous Makena Beach, or take some more time and explore the beautiful volcano behind us. Haleakala, the House of the Sun, looks down on the Maui Vista. Drive up to the summit or take a day trip to Hana on the far side of Haleakala. Also an easy drive to west Maui, where you can catch a ferry to Lanai.
But you will love just hanging out in Kihei - it has everything! And this is the place to learn how to surf on the island of Maui - 1 block to surfing central. Great restaurants and shopping.
