Typical recently renovated tuscan farmhouse with large private garden that looks out over the valley as it gently descends towards the Etruscan Coast. Situated about 500 m from the old town centre of Roccastrada, LaFornace lies ina quiet spot with a nice view. Furnished with warm and modern pieces, the house is ideal for a quiet and pleasant holiday. Outside, guests may enjoy the use of the private 5x10 m swimming-pool.The medieval town of Roccastrada has all the main types of shops and close by you will find places to try typical Maremma cooking or buy local products. The Chianti area is approx 50 km away, many characteristic and traditional towns in the area merit a visit. Rustic country house "La Fornace", built in 1816. 500 m from the centre of Roccastrada, on top of a hill. Private: garden 800 m2 (fenced), swimming pool fenced (5 x 10 m, depth 140 cm, seasonal availability: 06.May. - 30.Oct.). Outdoor shower, arbour, garden furniture, barbecue. This Villa was absolutely as described. The view of the Tuscan Hills was breathtaking and so relaxing. The house is small, but equipped with everything you need and was very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was excellent. The only thing I would say that could be a negative is that the stairs to the upstairs bedroom are spiral stairs and likely difficult for anyone who is larger or mobility challenged. We loved it here and would definitely rebook.

Beautiful location with the mountains all around, quiet surroundings, wonderful pool but too cold to swim in (around 65 degrees). Interior very rustic, bed tired, humidity smell. A bit of investment needed inside.
