WELCOME TO THE RIDGECREST RETREAT, YOUR FAVORITE HOME AWAY FROM HOME! Perched at the top of the ridge that overlooks both the town of Cambria and the Pacific Ocean, this lovely split-level home has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths in nearly 2000 square feet.
THE SPACE:
You will feel welcome the moment you step inside!
Main Floor: The large, welcoming Great Room with its high ceilings, skylights and many windows is airy and bursting with light. The room offers wonderful views of birds and other wildlife playing in the nearby trees, the hamlet of Cambria, and the hills and Santa Lucia mountains beyond. Its open layout includes a living room space that includes a 65-inch OLED TV with a surround sound system and a gas fireplace that can easily heat up the Great Room and the primary bedroom on the upper level. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen is ready for your cooking inspiration! The dining room opens to a spacious deck with a gas grill and comfortable dining set that welcomes you to dine al fresco.
Second Level: The primary bedroom with its comfortable Queen bed is a haven, with a beautifully remodeled ensuite bathroom with double sinks, walk-in shower, and a bidet toilet. Sliding doors lead to a large deck affording a lovely sunset view of the ocean; the colors at twilight are a sight to behold! The large windows are shaded by light-filtering blinds; open the windows at night and be lulled to sleep by the sound of crashing waves.
Right outside of the primary bedroom is a bright work area to plug in your laptop and check your emails or work (if you must). A half bath (toilet and sink) is also available on this level.
Downstairs: The cozy downstairs area contains two bedrooms, a full bath (also with a bidet toilet!), and the laundry room. The “Aloha” bedroom has a Queen bed and opens out onto a small deck overlooking the charming backyard garden. The small 3rd bedroom/study has a pull-out full-size sofa, as well as a thick futon to use as a mattress topper to add onto the sofa for even more comfort. There is also a separate laundry room complete with an iron and ironing board.
THE LOCATION: Tucked into a quiet corner of the desirable Park Hill neighborhood, views of wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, and colorful songbirds abound. Shamel Park Beach and the spectacular Fiscalini Preserve are within walking distance, while Moonstone Beach and Cambria’s charming East and West Villages—with their shops and restaurants—are just a short drive away.

Ridgecrest Retreat is our much-loved home in a quiet residential neighborhood, and we spend as much time here as we can. It is especially well suited to guests who appreciate nature, enjoy peaceful surroundings, and wish to experience the charm of a small town. Cambria is a magical place, but also experiencing a years-long drought, so we kindly ask guests to be mindful of their water usage.
The home has three short flights of stairs and no elevator. Because the upper-level windows are nearly ceiling to floor and open wide, young children need to be supervised closely.
Parking is available for 2 cars in the driveway; the garage is not accessible to guests.
An EV charger is accessible for an extra charge.
