The universally popular Marais is an ideally central location for visiting Paris. Rue des Rosiers is a narrow lively street where cafés, modest and not-so-modest restaurants jostle for space with designer boutiques and Jewish delis - a street of contradictions. A favorite of Parisians and tourists alike, the heart of the Jewish quarter.
On weekends the street becomes crowded with ambling pedestrians. Within 5-15 mins walk you can visit 17th c Place des Vosges, Picasso Museum, Museum of the History of Paris, Ile St Louis, Ile de la Cité, Notre Dame, Left Bank and the Louvre - just for starters ! Grocery, bakers, delicatessens on doorstep, and supermarkets 5 mins walk.
Our apartment is in a small very typical old building on the 1st floor and has pleasant contemporary furnishings. Recently entirely refurbished to a good standard by its Italian architect owner, with an attractive color scheme of ‘washed-out orange’ and light green, polished parquet floor with rugs. The windows overlook the street and are double glazed.
This apartment (approx 40m²) has a real double bed in a sleeping area separated by Japanese style sliding panels ; large walk in closet.
The living room provides a sofa/convertible for 2 persons. Small well designed Kitchen area with cooktop, frige (freezer), microwave, all kitchen ustensils, dishwasher.
Good Shower room with WC, washing machine. Linen & towels supplied.
Electric radiators. WIFI connection & tv.
The closest subway station Saint-Paul is 5min walk away and allows you to reach any part of the city.

We loved this property and its location. It was large enough for four of us to be comfortable, clean and well-kept, and so so charming. There were clean towels, supplies for bathroom and kitchen, a tv and a lovely selection of Paris guides and books on the shelves. The wooden beam ceiling and sliding doors added to its charm. It felt very very Parisian and we were there for it!
We had great communication with hosts but did have to wait 45 minutes after our arrival for our point person to arrive with the keys. We had to stand outside with luggage, so this might have been smoother, though we understand it must be difficult to coordinate with arriving guests. Our point person did not speak English but we communicated very well through Google Translate. It would have been very helpful to have a set of instructions in writing- it is hard to remember everything after a long day of international travel.
There was a fair bit of chatter from the crowds lining up downstairs at the falafel restaurant. We didn’t mind this at all but if noise bothers you then you may want to keep this in mind.
It was also incredibly hot. We tried plugging in the fan but couldn’t get it to work, so it did get stuffy with windows closed. Keep in mind if travelling in summer. Opening windows at night was great and a lovely breeze cooled us down.
Location is fantastic. A 4-min walk to Saint Paul metro station. The Marais is so lovely. Overall- we loved it here, A++ would def stay again!

Property is exactly what the post is. Great location, perfect for our three person group, and the couch bed was made up when we got there and we had a wonderful time. The three of us felt very safe and the host was incredible with communication.

The apartment is in a great location, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle, with easy access to shopping and restaurants. It was also well stocked and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, it did not have air conditioning, and we happened to stay during a heat wave, so we ended up leaving after one night to find accommodations that did. Overall, this would be a great option in cooler weather.
