Welcome to Shearwater. Your home by the sea. Shearwater has room for 10, so bring the kids and grandchildren. The main level includes the kitchen, dining, living room with a sleeper sofa and master suite with jetted tub. Hickory cabinets, myrtle wood floors and trim, tile floors and Berber carpet throughout the home. Upstairs includes a full bath, 2 bedrooms, one with a private balcony, both with queen size beds. Downstairs is a 4th bedroom, hall bath, Jacuzzi changing room, family room with 2 sofa sleepers, secondary dining area, futon sofa sleeper with a high quality mattress, and an away room with a fireplace, TV, and 4 by 8 pool table. The Jacuzzi room is off the first floor deck. Your private beach access is immediately in front of Shearwater. Come and stay, relax and play. While not ADA compliant, the main level is wheelchair friendly. Shearwater has parking for 5 vehicles and a local staff available when needed.
Within a 15 mile radius: Within a 15 mile radius you have access to an aquarium and two light houses, three 18-hole golf courses, factory outlet shopping and a casino. Deep sea fishing and whale watching excursions at Depoe Bay. An excursion on a zodiac boat with a whale biologist gets you about as close to a whale as anyone will.

TV should have been in living room instead of bedroom. Railing on deck not very secure.

This was the second Memorial Day that we spent at this house. We love the layout, with bedrooms on three different floors we had the space to spread out. The dining area has 1 massive table which we separated into two, one for eating and one for game playing.With all the balconies, it's easy to sit outside and listen to the ocean for hours.This section of the beach is not crowded at all. I was able to fly my kite and not worry about crashing into anyone.The location of the house was great too. Chester's market is right there on the highway in case you forgot anything. Depot Bay is just 7 minutes down the road and Lincoln City is just 12 up the road.We have enjoyed this house twice and we'll definitely be back.

The kitchen could use some updated cookware but other than that everything was amazing!

I have hesitated to write this review because the owner seemed like a nice guy and I didn’t want to get him any trouble with VRBO. However, when I thought about somebody else, renting the property without the knowledge that I have Felt I needed to let people know before they rent
We got to the property about 5:30 PM an hour and a half past check in time and the owner was still there finishing cleaning up. He showed us how to open the front door because it was very sticky and hard to do. Thankfully, one member of our group was able to figure it out, and they were in charge of opening the door for the rest of the weekend. I knew this was a bit older from the pictures online and that was fine. We were expecting that. On first impression, the place looked clean floors were swept. Kitchen was clean beds were made, etc. However, when I went into the master bathroom, which has a Jacuzzi tub. The first thing I noticed was black mold on the ceiling . I looked into the tub and all of the jets are full of black mold. I started looking around the rest of the house and noticed that while surfaces were dusted, etc. things like decorations hanging on the wall, anything high up, The artificial plants, they were all covered in thick layers of dust. All of the vents in the bathroom were clogged with dust. We tried to use the hot tub one evening, but there is no light outside near the hot tub so you cannot see what you’re doing. I have pictures of all of these things
