Once Upon a Tide, on Tybee Island. Enjoy a fairytale vacation in this spacious three-bedroom townhome with over 2,100 sq ft of indoor living space and a fantastic location just steps from Tybee Island's mid-island beach. Enjoy beautiful ocean views from the second and third-level porches. Swing the day away in the porch swing while listening to the lullaby of the ocean from the top-level balcony.
Upon entering the foyer, the staircase brings you to the first-level living area. Guests are greeted with the large open living and kitchen areas. The wide-open living space includes a large sectional sleeper sofa and a large wall-mounted smart TV. Step through the French doors leading to the attached balcony with comfortable glider rockers to enjoy the fresh Tybee salt air. The kitchen is fully equipped including a bonus wine/beverage fridge, and the dining table seats 8. There are a full bathroom and a laundry/utility room with a full-size washer and dryer for guest use.
On the third floor, the spoiling really begins with three beautifully appointed bedroom suites, each featuring its own private bathroom. The main bedroom suite offers an amazing view of the ocean, a king-size bed, flat-screen TV, and an attached balcony where you can enjoy morning coffee while swaying in the breeze on the balcony swing. The private en suite bathroom evokes a spa-like feel with dual vanities and a walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 features a queen-size bed and twin daybed, along with its own private en suite bathroom, while Bedroom 3 offers a queen-size bed, TV, and private en suite bathroom. With every bedroom offering its own bathroom, guests can enjoy added comfort, convenience, and privacy throughout their stay.
The downstairs is set up as an entertainment area with a ping-pong table, seating, and a gas grill for cookouts. This home is located one house back from the beach on Tybee's mid-island beach. Easy walking distance to several shops, local restaurants, and Tybee Island's Memorial Park and YMCA. Parking for up to 3 vehicles. WiFi is available.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing, especially considering the price.The biggest issue was that the main floor air conditioning was not working. There was a portable AC unit that appeared to have been installed recently, along with about seven box fans throughout the house. Even with all of that running, we couldn’t get the main floor below 72F, making it fairly uncomfortable. None of this was disclosed before our arrival, and we would have appreciated knowing that the central AC was out ahead of time.There was also a ceiling fan that had been removed from the covered patio ceiling and was simply lying on the ground with its wiring attached. It wasn’t powered, so there wasn’t an electrical hazard, but we were traveling with a one-year-old who was crawling everywhere, so having a heavy ceiling fan sitting on the ground wasn’t ideal. We asked maintenance to remove it, and they did.When we arrived, there was also a strong sewage odor coming from one of the bedroom bathrooms. We contacted maintenance, but they weren’t able to identify the cause. We eventually ran water in the fixtures, which seemed to refill a dry P-trap and eliminate the smell.None of these issues on their own would have ruined our stay, but together they made the property feel poorly maintained. Given the price we paid, we expected a much better experience.
