Large apartment at the attic floor of an historical Palace of the Renaissance time, with elevator and doorman and a large terrace facing two beautiful gardens. Placed in the central area of San Niccolò which is a lively area at a few meters from Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and from the historical centre of Florence.

Such a treat to visit Florence all day and come home to this beautiful apartment! It had all the accommodations, and more, that we needed. The location is absolutely perfect if you’re planning to walk to Florence, shopping, as well. From the minute we were welcomed us at the front door…to our departure, this is a “must return someday” stay! Thank you for allowing us to visit your home.

Great location in a quiet and historic neighborhood with a convenient walk across the Arno to the center of Florence attractions. Apartment was very much as pictured and in a historic building built in the 15th century. Little blip with the hostess because I put the towels in the wash upon departure (trying to help her) but she was upset because her checkout instructions (wherever those were) said not to. She could have handled it a bit nicer over text. The host (Antonio) was very nice and came over on his own after work to fix a WIFI issue. Overall nice stay.

We enjoyed our week in this spacious, comfortable apartment. We were happy to have an elevator, a must in an upper floor apartment like this one. The apartment's location is good, a 7 minute walk to Santa Croce, about 15 minutes to walk to Piazza Signoria. Piazzale Michelangelo is close, too- if you don't mind a steep climb! The building is in in a quiet street, with a number of good restaurants in the neighborhood. There's a great gelateria close by (Vivaldi, Via deli Renai 15). The kitchen is roomy and well equipped, with a small table under a window- cozy for breakfast. But the star of this apartment is the veranda! Double glass doors open onto a lovely open porch that faces a green slope, which is part of the Baldini gardens (visit the Baldini if you can, it's a peaceful haven in the center of Florence, with beautiful views of the city.) We loved sitting at the veranda's table, sipping wine, eating delicious Italian food while watching the wildlife on the slope (lots of interesting birds and a black cat!) Our hostess, Cristina, was wonderful. She answered all our questions about the apartment when we arrived, and recommended an excellent neighborhood restaurant for our first evening (Boccadarno). Thank you Cristina for providing a beautiful home-away-from-home for our stay in Florence!

Spent 5 nights (party of 4 adults) at Very Large Apartment in Florence. Apartment is spacious, full of character, wifi good. The apartment was mostly quiet except when other residents were noisy or their dog barked (not within the control of the host) which sometimes impacted sleeping.
Found the layout a bit haphazard. The main bedroom has an ensuite & is spacious. To access a bathroom from the 2nd bedroom you have to walk down the hall past the main bedroom. The step up to the toilet within the 2nd bathroom is a little tricky if you are using the bathroom in the middle of the night in semi darkness. The 3rd bathroom is narrow & usable. The kitchen, 3rd bedroom, lounge & dining are located on a higher level, accessed by around 6 steps. All bathrooms are located on the lower level of the apartment.
While we were in Florence it rained, on and off, every day & night. If was raining, it was overcast. Without a dryer we had continually damp towels (1 towel per person provided ) & requested a replacement. The host declined our request for a change of towels which was disappointing. The host suggested that in order to dry the towels we put an airconditioner on heat in one of the bedrooms & dry them on the rack.
Watch out for mozzies as despite keeping the doors and windows closed the entire time & progressively killing mozzies during our stay, I still woke to mozzies buzzing around my face on our last morning.
