The staff first and foremost. The location with unforgettable views. Rooms are comfortable and quiet.

Meals need to be tweaked for better health and avoiding waste. Dishes were too copious. Some rather heavy to suit more delicate diets. Bedside lights should be more adaptable rather than rely on led gadgets that are not regularly checked for adequate charging. Indoor Swimming pool has no comfortable sitting area for relaxation. Corridors leading to it should not be wet and slippery. A notice to be careful is not enough for good health and safety management. A robe and flip flops should be available in each room. Also safes should be made available.

It’s a problem retreat. Rooms are spacious, non obtrusive looking down a wooded valley. Mind you it’s away from the city and very secluded nestled amidst nature. Great spa facilities but don’t expect trappings of luxury.

Fabulous fabulous fabulous with stunning views, peaceful serenity area. Gorgeous rooms, comfortable beds and having walnuts with a cracker was fantastic! Breakfast was divine but don't be in a hurry as its not a buffet breakfast. Rooms have their own outside area which is great - not covered so can't sit outside if wet sadly, it was warm but raining when I stayed. Staff were fantastic helpful and had great history of the place. A beautiful place.

We got lost trying to find the entrance- maybe some clearer signage to the entrance and reception please? Couldn't get Internet inside the rooms which was frustrating, as trying to do work and planning ( understand its a retreat place but access to.internet would have been great).

Lovely hotel, very quiet. A fab place to go to reset and relax. Outdoor pool was amazing. Food was great.

The facilities shut very early, 8pm. Given the property is isolated / no tech in the rooms - it would be nice for the facilities to be open later for something to do after dinner. I wouldn’t stay here if the weather wasn’t nice, the indoor facilities were a bit outdated and disappointing. We weren’t allowed to visit the kitchen garden as we weren’t ‘retreat’ guests. When you look at the website it isn’t particularly clear that there are certain areas you can’t visit so this was disappointing when we got there.
