The D9 Luxury Suites - Hurghada

Bcp trop bruyant car pas isolé du tout, en bord de route avec bcp de passages 24/24, longue attente du taxi à l aéroport malgré qu’on nous avait dit qu’il nous attendrait sur place.. impression de camping avec personne chicha devant notre porte Pas sécurisé porte d’entrée de l’hôtel ouvert et chambre qui ne ferme pas à clé qqun est rentré dans notre chambre la nuit

Generally the stay was great. Tony the manager of both D9 Suites and Serenity home tried his best to accommodate me; Abdullah from serenity home and Yousef from D9 were both great. Unfortunately the trip started not too well as I was told D9 was fully booked and I would have to stay in Serenity Home for 1 night. This was stressful as I ended up looking for the right location for hours. Serenity home was a 7 min walk up the road from D9 The room I was given was good enough but not what I expected and definitely not the same quality as D9. I saw reviews complaining of power cuts and the lights here flickered regularly. Breakfast food (eggs, bread, juice and jam) were provided and the place was very big and generally clean. Pool didn’t look too clean. I was offered a room on the 3rd floor which was a hassle for luggage but Abdullah helped me each time. Because of initial complications, I was offered an upgrade from single room to a Family suite with 2 rooms in D9 for the 2nd and 3rd nights. It was on the ground floor with easy access to pool. It was modern, very clean and had LOTS of space. breakfast food was all provided also. This could very easily accommodate 3-5 people and because of this I can see myself booking again to come back with friends. Pool was great, clean and heated in the evening. Bed lounges all clean and fresh towels. Only issue I had with the room was the shower not draining too well. Bed was super comfy and kitchen appliances all worked. It had a busier vibe, more residents by the pool, one night people playing music, a mix of all ages, and a few minutes walk from local cafes, shops, a pharmacy and restaurants All the staff were incredibly apologetic about the initial mix up which I really appreciated. They offered to pay for uber to take me to new accommodation and to the bus stop when I left. I do wish I could’ve stayed at D9 the entire time as it was great. The biggest let down was the communication.

The property is new and has some modern conveniences. Bed was comfortable and the layout, albeit small, was adequate.

The apartments are NOT serviced during a stay. We had to ask for extra towels and toilet paper - which we received after a mild complaint against a 1,900EGP cleaning service charge. The location didn’t have an easy to access driveway - we found this challenging for uber rides. The staff are friendly, but not well trained, proactive or that communicative. Limited English. The bathroom was a disaster - shower was really badly designed and flooded the floor with every use.
