À propos de cette location de vacances
“Das Häusl” is a Chieming gem—one of the oldest houses in Chieming—and has been lovingly restored. Although it’s small, it comfortably accommodates two people. To allow for comfortable standing on the first floor, the beds in the bedroom are spaced apart but can also be pushed together. A small private garden is perfect for relaxing. The house can be heated with a wood-burning stove and infrared heating, so it is only rented out in the summer. The kitchen-living room features a corner bench and a sofa. The bedroom has fly screens and blackout curtains. Today, it would be called a “tiny house.” Use of the washing machine and dryer is available for a fee.
Chieming is located on the eastern shore of Lake Chiemsee. In addition to 8 km of freely accessible swimming beach, there is also a public beach and several kiosks along the shore. The town has several restaurants, a supermarket, a butcher shop, a post office, a bakery, and a few other stores for daily necessities. A short drive takes you to the Chiemgau Mountains, as well as our county seat Traunstein, Rosenheim, or Wasserburg (“Little Italy”)—even Salzburg is only about 35 km away from us. Here in Chieming, you can follow in the footsteps of the Romans, take a walk along the lake, watch breathtaking sunsets, or simply unwind.
We, the Wallner family, have been running our commercial fishing business on Lake Chiemsee for 12 generations. Every Thursday (and also on Tuesdays from Pentecost through the end of September), we offer freshly smoked fish, and in the summer, fish sandwiches as well. We also offer fish caught fresh from Lake Chiemsee. Since the early 20th century, we’ve been renting rooms to “summer visitors”—and now we have four vacation apartments and a cozy vacation cottage. Here, traditions are still very much alive—whether it’s the traditional costume club or the brass band, there’s always something going on.
