The Space:

Hale Moku offers a rare combination of space, privacy, oceanfront scenery, and an exceptional Poipu location.



The home is dramatically positioned above the Pacific on a lava-rock cliff, giving guests expansive views of the South Shore and plenty of opportunities to enjoy Kauai's famous oceanfront sunsets.



Indoor Living



The main living area provides comfortable gathering space for families and groups, with large windows framing the Pacific. The fully equipped kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and a generous island, making it easy to prepare meals together.



A dining table surrounded by windows provides a beautiful setting for meals, while additional outdoor dining areas let you enjoy the scenery from the lanai.



Bedrooms & Sleeping



The main house includes four bedrooms, with three featuring en suite bathrooms.



The attached studio provides additional flexibility with a king bed, sofa bed, private bathroom, and air conditioning. This separate space can be particularly convenient for grandparents, couples, or guests who want additional privacy.



The overall layout accommodates up to 14 guests and works especially well for extended families, multigenerational groups, reunions, and groups of friends.



Outdoor Experience



The ocean is the centerpiece of Hale Moku.



Multiple lanais provide different places to gather, relax, dine, or simply enjoy the scenery. Guests may see Hawaiian green sea turtles and monk seals in the water below, and during whale season, humpback whales can sometimes be spotted offshore.



Sunset is especially memorable from this location, and the unobstructed setting also offers excellent opportunities for stargazing after dark.

Hale Moku is located in Poipu on Kauai's sunny South Shore.



Poipu Beach is within walking distance and offers opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and relaxing on the beach. Restaurants, shopping, golf, and other South Shore attractions are also conveniently nearby.



After exploring Kauai, return to the house and enjoy the rare luxury of having a spectacular oceanfront setting all to yourselves.



Important Information



The main house does not have air conditioning. It is designed to take advantage of natural ocean breezes and has ceiling fans and portable fans. The attached studio does have air conditioning.



Hale Moku is an older Kauai home with authentic island character. Guests primarily choose this property for its exceptional oceanfront location, expansive views, generous space, multiple outdoor living areas, and proximity to Poipu Beach.



Guest Access:

This oceanfront home in Koloa offers a private entrance and patio, with ocean front and beach front views right outside. A garden backyard and private outdoor seating make it easy to relax, and the near ocean location puts the beach within easy walking distance.



The Neighborhood:

Poipu is a sunny south shore beach town with options for every kind of water day. Poipu Beach Park's calmer swimming coves are a favorite for families, while nearby Shipwreck Beach offers a wilder shoreline and dramatic cliffs. The area is also good for a morning snorkel, a sunset walk, and the chance to spot Hawaiian monk seals resting on the sand. Restaurants, shops, and resort dining are close, with Old Koloa Town a short drive inland for local history and food. This part of Kauai is warm, accessible, and easy to enjoy without a packed schedule, making it a natural fit for a large group balancing beach time with time together.



Getting Around:

Lihue Airport is about 30 to 40 minutes away, a pretty drive across Kauai's south shore. A rental car is recommended to reach Poipu's beaches, Koloa town's shops, and nearby dining with ease. Old Koloa Town is walkable for boutiques and restaurants, while beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. Parking is generally available on site or in small lots around town.
