Chestnut Inn Bed and Breakfast

The whole house was wonderfully charming and cozy. We stayed in the Rose Room, very comfortable bed with a unique and beautiful feel around the whole room. The breakfast was great, and there was access to a shared living room, sunroom, and dining room on the main floor, and tea room upstairs with a shared full-size fridge and kettle. Great location with a bus stop just outside, and a gorgeous view from our bedroom and private balcony to the water. It felt like I was staying in a Jane Austen novel! Pleasant staff and a delightful stay overall!

I would have liked a curtain covering the window on the door to the balcony for privacy. A lock on the door to the balcony would have felt more secure as well. However, we felt safe and very comfortable the entire time. While these are suggestions for improvement, I would absolutely recommend this place, and indeed have already booked a room for my next stay!

Breakfast was very good and plentiful. It looks like the exterior of the house needs tending too a the house entry could have had some flowers growing around and in the urns. That really helps the welcoming appeal. The exterior entry door was kept unlocked without any apparent staff in the house. Since we were the only guests, I would have felt safer with a code to get into the entry door. But thank you, Kack was very kind.

Très belle maison. Emplacement idéal avec l arrêt de bus à la porte. Déjeuner juste ok. Pas vraiment de contact avec le personnel. Habituellement dans les B&B les hôtes sont très présents et près à donner de l information touristique. Là ça semblait être du personnel engagé. La cuisiniere n est jamais venue nous dire bonjour. J avais lu les avis des voyagistes et ce n étaient vraiment pas la même chose. Ils parlaient beaucoup de Kareen, sa présence, son amabilité et ses supers dejeuners. Ça reste un bel endroit bien décoré avec une touche asiatique à 3 km des chutes et restos. Nous étions dans le loft. Ça prendrait un petit banc pour le lit simple beaucoup trop haut à cause du matelas environ 3 pi de haut

Le manque de communications avec le personnels.

We were disappointed with our stay. The pool was out of order and not maintained for years. In the room, air conditioner was extremely noisy. Wa asked for earlier breakfast and got old, cold, hard croissant, toast, butter/jam and coffee. Really disappointing. The grounds were poorly maintained. Furthermore, the messages we received were signed Betty and George, whom we never met during our stay. In short, we were very disappointed with our experience.
