The Chelsean New York

I chose this hotel primarily due to its location , as we were traveling with a senior and wanted something close and comfortable. The Chelsean is well located, some blocks away from Penn Station and subway stations; there are some delis around the corner and on the same street, some coffee shops as well. The room is small but it is comfortable enough for three guests in the room. The ensuite bathroom was more than appreciated and it was really nice and spacious. There is a tray with a coffeemaker and amenities to brew coffee and tea. There is also a water dispenser in the lower level which is very helpful. As for the staff, we always got help or orientation front the front desk staff. Also, shout out to the housekeeping staff, very kind and anticipating to our needs (the left us extra water bottles). And finally, we got a room in the upper floors as we requested due to the senior traveling with us; I just have to say the view was something to look forward day and night.

I didn't expect to find a night club next to the lobby. On our check in day, it was kind of a surprise because it was a weekend day and there were a lot of young people queuing to enter. Also, there was a strong smell of a substance being smoked which is not a proper way to receive visitors, as they were on the street and it is kind of annoying. Other than that, the hotel was rather comfortble.

Service was excellent. Very accommodating and fast service. We never had to wait more than 15 min for towels or anything we asked. They were very helpful with logistics. We also loved the location. So close to 5th Ave and lovely coffee shops and shops everywhere. Must visit Memories of New York which is so close.

Everything. Third time at this hotel. Does everything I need. Location is perfect. Price is good. The staff very kindly, assigned me the same room as the room I booked last year. Great view. Incredible hotel. Accessible, convenient. Would book again, very happily. Thank you all J UK
