Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Novi, MI

Location parking and facilities were ok

Not very clean and breakfast was very disapponting

This review has two sections first is the stay: It was suitable, it was clean, and it was as advertised.

One issue: we went to Detroit for the day and I realized I forgot my nice set of headphones so otw back to the other side of the state, I stopped by to see if they found them. They had found them but for some inexcusable reason they're locked into an office that ONLY the manager can get into and no other staff. So the staff member suggested I drive back on Monday to pick them up (well over 100 miles) and obviously I said that wasn't happening. The staff member called the manager and they said essentially "too bad" until Monday. The staff member (who is not the problem here) took my address so "maybe the manager can mail me" my property on Monday. Glorious stuff and again not the staff members fault - the manager and management team is the issue here.

The room

Breakfast

The room was mostly clean. Nothing crazy that I was worried about. The location was fine, and it was mostly quiet. Could only really hear other people if we were out in the hallway. Staff was nice.

The pool is over chlorinated. I understand that they want to keep it clean because there’s lots of people coming in and out, but the imbalance in chemicals left a very sticky film in my hair, and even after washing over ten times with a clarifying shampoo, the film still remained. This made my hair smell like chlorine no matter what I did, and it would stick together and tangle, and it almost made my hair matted. I had to cut about 3 inches off of my hair to maintain its health. There were also a few stains on our bed sheets and the shower curtain. The shower curtain also would not stay closed no matter what we did.
