Holiday Inn Kansas City Airport by IHG

The manager, not sure of his name but it might be Lee, He was SUPER friendly, helpful and provided excellent customer service❗️❗️❗️

I didn’t choose this property. It was the workshop leader who needed a room that was free during FIFA and close to the airport because most people were flying in. I took Amtrak.

There were no restaurants within walking distance, except for the burger place open in the evenings. I had dinner there Friday Saturday Sunday nights burgers were great.

Some of the staff was very friendly, but did not follow through on requests like a report of a broken tv remote.

There was no response after promised staff would come to room to check on problem with tv. The room was sub par. The bathroom door had a lot of paint chipped off and it was very sticky - gross. The floors in room and halls/common area around elevator were very dirty. I walked in the room saw the horrible condition of paint on the doors and the lamp shades all tilted - it looked trashy. I expect much better than that from IHG. The shower curtain was about 8-10 inches too long and I was stepping on it while taking a shower. If housekeeping is not going to service the room, guests should be told what to do with trash. The service in the restaurant was bad and even though the bartender/server was very nice, on each night I was there she was running the whole room with no help. There should be a list of hotel amenities/room service menu in the room.
