The views from my room were absolutely amazing with floor to ceiling windows

Small lobby area, but that isn’t a deal breaker, this is a great hotel to stay

The views are truly amazing, especially on the upper floors. The floor-to-ceiling windows just add to the special atmosphere and make the whole experience feel very New York.

We booked two rooms, and unfortunately one of them had an unpleasant smell that could not be aired out even with the window open. At check-in, we informed the staff that our son would be sleeping on the sofa bed and asked for it to be prepared by 9 PM. They confirmed this and even asked whether they could prepare it a little earlier, which we gladly agreed to. However, by 10:30 PM the bed still had not been made, and we had to call reception three additional times before someone finally came to prepare it. We stayed for a week and requested an ice bucket on most evenings. Unfortunately, the service was consistently very slow. On one occasion, the ice arrived so late that we had already gone to bed and did not even use it. Overall, the main disappointment was the level and speed of service. For a hotel in this category, we expected requests this simple to be handled much more promptly and reliably, although the staff themselves were always very friendly and polite.

Very good air conditioning and a good view from the huge window. The room safe was not low to the floor the floor as they tend to be in hotels. This meant that I did not have to bend low to the floor and so saved my back and knees.

The hotel have a gym and a sauna on their listing. I confirmed that this was the case in a phone call prior to my arrival. I did this because I suffer with arthritis and I find that a sauna is especially helpful. When I arrived at the hotel and was booking in however, I was informed by the concierge.That the gym was no longer in use. That it was under repair but that this had been the case for years and there was plan in place to remedy this. Went I went to the gym to take a look. There was in fact a sauna but it was not working and being used as a storeroom for bottled water. This was extremely disappointing because I had chosen this one hotel specifically because it stated that it had a sauna.
