We always love staying at La Fonda. The furnishings were excellent. We enjoyed a fine dinner with friends in the dining room.

The location and the lobby are amazing. This is a historic hotel, so the rooms are very small. I thought the furniture and decor was appealing, but very worn. The wood of the furniture and the trim was beaten up. The floor and rug were also worn. I enjoyed the artwork throughout the hotel and the shops. It just needed a little TLC. The valet, and check in service were amazing. The pool and rooftop bar were amazing.
The furniture, flooring, and wooden trim work in the room needed some TLC> The room and bathroom were very small. The bathroom had a huge tub, but in order to shower, you had sit on the tub to get into the shower. I felt some opportunities were missed in freshening up the room. It was musty and most high end hotels are scented and ventilated. I do appreciate the historic flair, but it needs to be comfortable.

Love this hotel for its rich history! Staff was sweet and helpful. Lots of big smiles…restaurant great but pricey. Had reservations for dinner but they were so busy we had to wait 30 minutes, but the food was worth it!
Kind of hard to get to since it’s in the heart of the historic district with lots of people walking around and some in the streets. But that wouldn’t stop us from coming back!

I loved the eclectic hotel and shops. I had a wonderful terrace, with a spectacular view.
There was no information that there was a pool on site until I checked out.
The mattress in the room - 506 was SO lumpy my back hurt so much! But the hotel was sold out no way to change rooms.
The mattresses. The lack of info about the facilities (pool, tub).
Food was O K. My tamale was served cold.
