Chateau Beachfront Hotel, a By the Sea Resort

This was my 2nd RBTS stay. The Chateau King w/a full Kitchen was very spacious. I did not think that I would, but I liked having 2 doors, (1) at the front and (1) at the back. I liked having a kitchen that was fairly well equipped and a large bathroom. The bed was comfortable and large. I loved the free parking (I panicked when I saw the high Parking prices for non-guests. :) )and the free coffee. I loved the friendly and helpful staff. I loved the sea view from the public seating area and that the area was a few feet from the door and the easy access to the beach. I also liked there being restaurants and places to shop on the strip that you could walk to. FOR THE THINGS THAT WERE MISSING, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, and Walmart were within 4 miles. I DEFINITELY LOVED THAT! I got a fantastic 4-day deal. I definitely loved that! OVERALL, I HAD AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO TRYING ANOTHER RBTS ADVENTURE!

I didn't love the room view, as the description of the room having a 'sea view' was not exactly accurate. I wasn't crazy about the level of traffic outside the room. I wasn't thrilled with not having a Grab Bar in the shower, no covers, no broom/mop/dustpan/dish sponge. The TV in the bedroom only got one channel, but that was HBO. I did not love being on the 2nd floor, with steps being the only was to get to the parking lot and our room and having NO ELEVATOR or GROUND LEVEL ACCESS for a luggage/miscellaneous cart. I also did not like that the 2nd floor was unlike any other that I have stayed on and was actually more like the basement?? Though the kitchen had most of the basics and a nice working stove (all except one eye), AT LEAST one (1) cutting knife and one (1) large pot for seafood or something would have been nice. OVERALL, what I did not like was dwarfed by what I did like. Thanks for the opportunity to share. :)

Had to carry down stairs but we knew that going into it. It’s all good.

We’ve stayed there several times it’s right on the beach.

We had a water issue our bathroom flooded. They did put us in a different room, but wouldn’t give us any kind of a discount for future stays. This happened two days before we were to check out we didn’t have any help transferring our stuff to the other room. I felt we should be compensated for something.
